You may be thinking, “ What in the world? Why would I want a DJ at my ceremony?”. More and more people are choosing non-traditional venues for their wedding ceremony…outside, near the water, in a barn or in your own backyard. Traditional venues, such as churches have sound equipment. At the perfect spot for your ceremony, you find yourself with no speakers or microphones. You need music, and it would be nice for your audience to be able to hear the officiant as the vows are recited etc. Long before I could start playing music for people, I had to acquire and learn how to use PA equipment. This puts me in the perfect position to play music for your ceremony and supply microphones as needed for the officiant and singers that you might want to use for your ceremony. Additionally you need someone with experience to help your ceremony flow smoothly. Someone that has seen many things go wrong and and many things go right and that person is Me.

You can do all or none of the activites, but it will give you somewhere to start, and maybe give you some ideas for your event.
Richard Ceremony and Reception at “the Ivy”
We hired DJ 51-50 for our Dec 2017 wedding at The Ivy Venue. He is literally the best DJ I’ve experienced. In addition, DJ 51-50 was the most professional vendor we worked with for the wedding. He offered flexible payment options via mobile apps, kept me abreast of approaching deadlines, and arrived to meetings and the wedding venue at the agreed upon times. He also offered a few other services (e.g. uplighting, microphones, gobo, etc.) to enhance the experience. Last, but certainly not least, he was an AHHHHHHmazing DJ. He kept our wedding guests on the dance floor the entire night. The groom and I had aching feet for days after the wedding because we danced so much. Our guests loved the ability to text him their song requests, the laser lights, and the bubbles. I HIGHLY recommend Dj 51-50 for any event you have planned. We hired DJ51-50 for our wedding on February 24, and we were NOT disappointed! He did a great job with not only our reception, but our ceremony as well! Phillip went above and beyond as a wedding DJ, and I would hire him again over and over. He even converted the music my soloist needed from a cassette tape to a digital file! DJ 51-50 absolutely MADE our wedding. Phillip did the ceremony music as well as the reception. He was very patient with me and my thousands of phone calls and emails as I was the typical bride… A very dear friend and coworker, Tricia Price, recommended DJ 51-50. We had Phillip to DJ our wedding reception this spring (2011) and we could not have been more pleased with his professional approach to the whole night. By the time we arrived at the reception the mood had already been set. Phillip was standing by waiting to announce us as the new bride and groom we were, and the atmosphere he had already created for us was absolutely perfect. For my wedding reception, one of my biggest concerns was music.. The best decision I made was getting Phillip to DJ at my reception.What we got out of Phillip wasn’t just music, it was truly amazing entertainment. With his friendly and lively personality, he helped bring everything together. He had amazing music and was very welcoming to new requests. The lights that he used throughout the night made the place change completely and feel like you were in a major dance area; it was awesome!! Also, I got soo many compliments on the light figure “GOBO” he had on the wall of our name (bride and groom) and wedding date as well as the music itself and how nice Phillip was.
I would love to use Phillip again in the future and hope that he continues to make other couples’ receptions just as great as he did mine.
